10th May – Nathan & Danielle’s wedding – Sneak Preview!
Yesterday, Amber and I headed out to Sarnia Park in Cambridge to photograph Nathan & Danielle’s wedding.
Nathan & Dan are good friends of ours – and it was an honour to be entrusted with the role of documenting their day!
The rain from Friday had cleared up – and the ground had dried enough that they were able to proceed with their original plan of having the wedding outdoors, which was great.
Their ceremony was officiated by one of their friends, for whom it was a first time – and he did a fantastic job! After the ceremony, we headed around the grounds at Sarnia Park for some bridal party photos.
The afternoon light came to the party, and we were spoiled for choice in terms of locations – we ended up shooting at the lake, some beautiful autumn trees, and finishing up inside the house for some cool dancing shots.
We also stayed for the reception (which we don’t usually do – so it was very exciting to shoot things like the dancing!!) and got some fantastic shots as the evening progressed – finishing up with some dancefloor photos that were a combination of experimental lighting and pure luck (when people stepped right in front of my light as I took the shot & perfectly silhouetted themselves)!
We had a fantastic time – and now that I have recovered, I am writing this blog post!
Enjoy this little taster of what’s ahead.
