The Boat Shed Karapiro Wedding Photos – Greg & Amanda got married!
We’ve finished all of Greg & Amanda’s editing now – so we have a few more images from their gorgeous wedding day to share with you!
Isaac caught up with the guys earlier in the day, for a few holes of golf at Cambridge.
Rolling around in golf carts is totally the way to play this game.
When you’ve got a photographer following you around the course – you want to make sure you get past the ladies tee…
We headed out to the Boatshed at Karapiro, where the boys got out of the golf gears, and into the suits.
Amanda and the girls had finished their makeup in Cambridge earlier in the day… so by the time they arrived out at their Karapiro accommodation, they were able to relax for a bit. Check out the stunning view of the lake they had (well… you can see the reflection, but get the idea!)
Flowergirl Lauren had been losing teeth left, right and centre leading up to the wedding – Amanda and her sister Marsha, who was bridesmaid & Lauren’s mum, jokingly warned her that any more teeth, and she’d be dropped as a flowergirl! That’s still one super cute smile!
We have a bit of a soft spot for calla lillies, as they were the flowers at our own wedding! The brooches on the flowers were a mix of heirlooms & travel mementos, a beautiful unique touch to each bouquet.
The Boatshed was an awesome setting – a sunny afternoon on the lawn, overlooking the lake. Just perfect.
Greg & Amanda decided that, rather than leave the guests for a long amount of time during the wedding day, they’d just grab a few photos on-site, and then do an ‘encore’ session with us a few days after the wedding to get more variation. It was a really cool way to keep the timeline relaxed & easy. Love the golden backlight & the way these two just adore one another 🙂
Greg & Amanda are just so natural around one another – we pretty much just stood back the entire time & captured these moments.
Greg & Amanda had some of the coolest table names we’d ever seen. Each table contained a small anecdote or story about a funny time or situation in their life. It really made you feel like you got to know them personally, just by reading each of the table names.
During the reception, we managed to sneak many of the guests outside for a nice couples photo.
A couple of days after the wedding, we caught up with Greg & Amanda again for their encore shoot.
Out near our neck of the woods, we headed down to the beach one evening for a play in the sunshine (and the water!).
We’d been scoping out this tree for ages, every time we drove past. This proved the perfect opportunity to track down the landowner (it took 6 different house calls!), and get permission. Greg & Amanda were up for the trek over the fields – and were duly rewarded with some cool shots!
We headed down to the forest to spend some time in the trees…
And finished up at sunset with, the gorgeous golden sunrays streaming through the clouds.
There are a couple more of Greg & Amanda’s encore session images in our ‘Hot off the Press‘ album on our facebook page – too 🙂
Greg & Amanda – thank you guys so much for having us along to document your wedding day, and then letting us take the reins for your encore session – we had so much fun with you guys! We hope you’ll enjoy these images for many years to come 🙂
