New Plymouth Wedding Photographer – Adrian & Hayley’s sneak peek!
Last weekend, we boarded a very tiny plane on a very windy day… for a surprisingly smooth flight down to New Plymouth – where we were photographing Adrian & Hayley’s wedding.
Both originally from Taranaki, they had their ceremony at St. Philomena’s Church, and reception at Puke Ariki, right in the middle of town.
We spent the afternoon before out scouting around New Plymouth’s coolest locations, and came across a gorgeous field of yellow flowers. We put it down as a definite possibility… but it would depend on the wedding colours, as yellow is a tricky colour to match with others. We were pretty stoked to arrive the next morning and see Hayley’s yellow bouquets – meant to be!
Another awesome element of the wedding was the rowboats. One of Adrian & Hayley’s first dates involved taking the rowboats out for a cruise on the lake in Pukekura Park. Fast forward a few years.. and they got to replicate this on their wedding day. So special, fun, and made for beautiful photos!
We finished up with braving the screaming wind on the coastal walkway for a few stormy sea photos. It was bitterly cold, but worth it!
Here’s just a tiny sneak preview of some images from the day. As soon as we’re finished the editing, there’ll be a much bigger, comprehensive blog post with plenty more photos.
To make sure you see that as soon as it comes up – head over and ‘like’ our Perspectives Photo + Cinema Facebook Page – where you can stay up to date with all our latest work.
Until then – enjoy this little taster 🙂
