I’m going to share Shane and Fiona’s story in Fiona’s own words (because she really does tell it best).
“Shane and I first met when we were 15 and Shane was visiting my neighbour’s house. After we met, we chatted on MSN Messenger for a while (which was peaking in popularity at the time!). Shane put in some serious grafting but i wasn’t interested and we then lost contact. 10 years later we met again at a bar but didn’t realise who each other were. I was far more interested this time around and Shane, learning from his previous mistakes, was playing hard to get. This didn’t last long and I wore down his resistance with my persistence and ability to talk under water. Shane turned out to be the sweetest and most thoughtful guy and the rest is history”.
Clearly, the universe knew that these two were meant to be together, even if their 15-year-old selves didn’t realise it. Their day was nothing short of perfect.
They were blessed with blue skies and the most perfect sunset.
