Mark & Chantelle first met over 14 years ago! Chantelle was unfortunately at the time seeing one of Mark’s friends – so Mark had to admire her from afar.
Fast forward a few years and with much better timing – they officially became a couple.
Chantelle says “The proposal happened on a moonlit beach in Fiji, total surprise. We were going there for a holiday and he had planned to ask me to marry him. My parents knew this was going to happen, he designed my engagement himself and had this made all without me knowing”.
Their day was made even more special as Chantelle and Mark are expecting their first child – so they decided to include a baby gender reveal in their celebration. You’ll have to scroll down to find out what they’re having!
The day wouldn’t have been complete without the inclusion of Mark’s other baby – his bike! The groomsmen spent the morning cruising Auckland (and setting off car alarms in their wake).
You may recognise a few faces in this blog post – it was great to catch up with Matt and Sarah whose wedding Jared filmed a while ago. Matt and Mark have become close friends over the years as Matt is Mark’s barber and he played the role of MC on the day – aided by his wife Sarah who was their celebrant.
