27th May – Nathan & Jess’ Wedding – Sneak Preview!

On Saturday we photographed Nathan & Jess’ wedding at Port Waikato.

Nathan & I went to school together, and have remained good friends ever since – so it was really cool to be able to be involved in their day both as guests & photographers!

We were heading back from Fiji, so Alysse & Holly traveled up in the morning to begin the getting ready shots – and to be there in case we were delayed.

Everything went according to plan though, and our plane touched down at 1.00pm. It was then a mad rush through customs & baggage claim, then straight into the car & racing down to Port Waikato.

We arrived half an hour before the ceremony – so even had the time for a few quick shots of Jess at home before she left.

After their ceremony, we headed down to the beach for a few shots – it was bitterly cold, well done to the bridal party for managing not to show in the photos how cold they actually were!!

We were blessed with another incredible sunset, so we made the most of the gorgeous afternoon light – I love the way that it shines through Jess’ dress.

Enjoy the photos guys, and stay tuned for more soon.

26th May – Clint & Bridget’s Fiji Wedding – Sneak Preview!

Last Friday we were lucky enough to be able to photograph Clint & Bridget’s wedding at the Outrigger on the Lagoon resort, Fiji.

Their ceremony took place in a beachfront “bure” – or small hut, and was shared by their close friends & family, who had made the trip over to Fiji to join in the celebrations.

With a 5 day holiday in Fiji leading up to the wedding, we had plenty of time to explore & find the best spots – like this rocky outcrop on the beach.

The beach at the resort didn’t face the right direction to see the sunset, so we walked about 500m up the beach, where it curved around the corner & had some great looking (but very sharp) rocks.

We arrived there just in time to catch some stunning sunset images – with the remnants of the afternoon sun shimmering across the water – just perfect!

Dark fell super quickly – so we finished up the photos with a few shots in the covered walkways around the resort, and the candlelit bridge outside the restaurant where they had their reception.

We had a fantastic time – and with the cold NZ weather at the moment we’re definitely missing the sunshine and 30 degrees!

More pics to come soon – enjoy!
